பிரம்மோத்ஸவம் அல்லது மகோத்ஸவம் என்பது பெருந்திருவிழா ஆகும். இவ்விழா கொடியேற்றத்துடன் துவங்கி தீர்த்தவாரி என்ற புனித நீராடலுடன் நிறைவடையும் சிறப்புடையது. இறைவன் எழுந்தருளல் என்ற சுவாமி புறப்பாடு – பல்வேறு வாகனங்களிலும் - தேரிலும் நடைபெறும். பக்தி பெருக்கும் கொண்டாட்டங்களும் நிறைந்தது இவ்விழா.

Brahmothsavam or Mahothsavam means mega festival. The festival commences with the flag raising and culminates with the Theerthavaari (holy bath). Idol procession, also known divine manifestation, is done on various vehicles and the chariot. This festival is abound with celebrations that upsurge devotion.  God's five Krityas (functions) – Creation, Protection, Destruction, Concealment and Benediction – are venerated and worshipped as 18 Kriyas (actions or manifestations) during Brahmothsavam.
