அக்ஷய திருதியை
சித்திரை மாதம் வளர்பிறை மூன்றாம் நாளிள் அக்ஷய திருதியை வருகிறது. அக்ஷய திருதியை அன்று பல்வேறு புராண நிகழ்வுகள் காணப்படுகின்றன. ஸ்ரீ லக்ஷ்மி தோன்றிய நாள், ஸ்ரீ குபேரன் மஹா லக்ஷ்மியை வழிபாடு செய்த நாள், ஸ்ரீ அன்னபூரணி பிரும்ம கபாலத்தில் சிவனுக்கு தானம் அளித்த நாள், ஸ்ரீ விநாயகர் பாரதம் எழுதியது இன்னும் பல. அக்ஷயம் என்றால் குறைவில்லாத நிறைவாகும். ஆகவே இது நிறைவான நல்வாழ்வு வேண்டி வழிபடும் நாளாகும்.

Akshaya means everlasting. Akshaya Thiruthiyai is a day to pray for everlasting prosperity and goodness.
